Vacation

We are home from a wonderful long vacation with the best of friends!!! 

We left Abilene, TX at 10:00 on Tuesday morning.  We stopped to eat at Fuzzy's Taco Shop by TCU!

 YUMMMMY! We also stopped at Central Market in Ft. Worth. 

 

But after a long rainy drive we finally arrived to our destination!!!! :)

River-Bend Lodge * Davis, Oklahoma

We were blown away by how fantastic it REALLY was!!  The view was breathtaking, the house was enormous, and cell phone signal was few and far between! ;)

We immediatly unpacked, took a quick trip to Wal-Mart, and quickly returned to scope out the land. 
There were several entrances to the river...but those entrances were overgrown and keeping us from getting to all of those fish!

Since the sun was setting we opted to fish in the pond until we were able to return to Wal-Mart to buy some Machetes!!!

We were a little disappointed in the size of the fish in the pond.  But we remained hopeful that the river had the fish that we were after!

That night we laughed till our tummies hurt, worked on some fancy dance moves, ate hotdogs and planned for the next day.

We woke up the next morning, cooked breakfast, and quickly went to Wal-Mart so that we could START fishing!!!!!
