American Heart Association

This weekend Martin and I traveled to garland for some birthday parties....while we were there his cousin was telling me about this diet she heard about from a coworker. The lady was put in the 3 day plan by her doctor to help her heart by loosing weight. It says you will loose 10 pounds if you follow it exactly with no substitutions!!! The lady did however substitute a few things but still lost 6 pounds the first time!!!!

Esmer and I looked it over and decided it really shouldn't be too hard and it wouldn't hurt at all to try it!!!!

If you are interested here it is...

Day 1:
{breakfast}
Black coffee or tea
1/2 grapefruit
1 slice of toast
2 tbsp peanut butter
{lunch}
1/2 C tuna
1 slice of toast
Coffee or tea
{dinner}
2 slices of any meat
1 C string beans
1 C beets
1 small apple
1 C vanilla ice cream

Day 2:
{breakfast}
1 egg
1/2 banana
1 slice of toast
Coffee or tea
{lunch}
1 C cottage cheese
5 saltine crackers
{dinner}
2 hot dogs
1 C broccoli
1/2 C carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 C vanilla ice cream

Day 3:
{breakfast}
5 saltine crackers
1 slice cheddar cheese
1 small apple
Coffee or tea
{lunch}
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice of toast
{dinner}
1 C tuna
1 C beets
1 C cauliflower
1/2 cantelope
1/2 C vanilla ice cream

Instructions are to follow exactly for 3 days and you will loose 10 pounds. You may use salt and pepper, but no other seasonings. When an amount is not specified, use common sense. After 3 days you return to normal eating. After 4 days of normal eating you can return to the 3 day and in a months time it is possible to loose 40 pounds. Water and diet coke are allowed when a drink is not specified. The combination of chemicals in each group are supposed to work together along with exercise to help with weightloss.

I'm not even sure it will work, but I'll give it a try. It won't hurt me, maybe the beets and cottage cheese, lol, but I'll survive!!!!

Until then...
