Bathroom Project...

Martin and I decided that our first 'big' remodeling project for our house would be our Master bathroom.  We didn't plan on starting until I was out for the summer until we found out we would have 13 people staying at our house June 5th!!  So we thought it might be a good idea to push it up!!  Yikes i know!! So our goal is to be finished by June 5th.

This morning we started by knocking out 'my side'.  This included a mirror, granite counter top, and cabinets.  Mom and dad came over this morning to let us know how much tile and 'stuff' we needed for this part of the remodel.  We wrote down all the estimates so that after we were done demo-ing this part we could go to Lowe's and get all of our supplies so that we could be ready to move on to the next part.  My parents left and we got started!!

We had safety goggles on, I wore ear plugs, and we each had a hammer.  We took turns hit the counter tops until it was all broken and in the floor.  We then took our aggressions out on the cabinets.

We found osme mold, but we were kind of expecting that becuase of the condition of the bathtub on the other side of the wall.  We then ran across some termite damage...my oh my that is weird stuff!!  But thankfully they are long gone and it shouldn't be too big of a repair job!!

We pulled up a few sticky tiles, cleaned up, and went shopping.  Last week I ordered 2 vessel sinks and we are hoping they will be here tomorrow.  Our great friends kept their eyes peeled while shopping at Big Lots and found the perfect vanity/dresser we were looking for.

My dad will build us a top that we will tile and build shelves off to each side.  I'm still looking for the perfect mirrors.  We will also add 3 pendant lights on each side of 2 mirrors and one in the middle.

(looks better in person)

More pictures to come of each stage of the whole process!!! :D
