the wedding

the few weeks leading up to the wedding were full of surprises to say the least.

i began the week knowing that a lot would go wrong and a lot would go right but on saturday i would still be married to the man of my dreams.

one day i will look back and laugh, but as of right now, it hasn't been long enough yet. haha.

i'll just run through a few things that made me surprised i was not bald in the end.

• we had to cancel with our cake lady who we've had since the very beginning and scramble at last minute to find a new one. we went first to alleycats. and that is who we stuck with. they pulled through like i could never have imagined. my cake was unbelievable i could not have been happier, and martin's cake....just like he had always pictured...he was speechless.

• the next on the list would probably be flowers. the manager at the floral shop decided to up and leave without a phone call. the only way we found out was to call a few weeks before to confirm and lets just say a few of us were a little unhappy. But after a disasterous portrait bouquet they figured out what i wanted. they turned out good for the wedding, still not exactly what i had dreamed of. oh well.

• a few other things happened here and there but i won't bore you, i'll just move right on to the BIG one!!! a week or a few days before the wedding, can't really remember I get a call from mom saying i'm not going to believe it....the night before we had a really big rain storm (back-tracking a few weeks...mom and dad just re-did the roof...) and they had a roof leak! ----ON MY DRESS!! so we rushed the dress to the cleaners (i think this was thursday before the wedding on saturday) anyways they worked their magic and needless to say i wore a beautiful white wedding gown on saturday! :) many thanks to Tyler's Cleaners on S.14th!!!!!

• quite a bit of other things happened that I am purposefully going to avoid saying. But the last one was on Friday night we go to the Round building to decorate for Saturday's reception and I had ordered 50 ROUND tables, which i had ordered 50 ROUND tablecloths for. Well, what do you know, we walk in and there are 50 RECTANGLE tables, then they tried to tell us that that is what we had ordered. Well I'm sorry you just don't tell someone that who has had everything else go wrong. So within 30 minutes a group was in there switching out the tables due to their mistake.

• come Saturday everything was absolutely beautiful. I could have asked for nothing more! I married the man of my dreams and thats all that mattered that day.

well now that the wedding is over I find myself back to who I was before all the chaos. The house is a lot cleaner, we have more time to just sit and watch movies, life is great!
